For furniture with textile outer material the abrasion resistance is ususally determined performing a Martindale-test that returns a number on the Martindale-scale. This is most commonly expressed as grams (g) of moisture vapor that can pass one square meter (m2) of the fabric over a period of 24 hrs (g/m2/24hrs). The higher the number, the more breathable is the product fabric/material.

Indicates the way the garment hangs on the body based on the shape of the fabric pieces used to construct it, the position of the fabric's grain line, and so on.

Department responsible for the product. In a supplier context such responsibility could include product development, design and marketing, while department in a buyer context could i.e. reflect responsibility for purchasing and the purchasing budget of the product.
